OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Police Department (OPD) reports that Donald Nash is back in custody after fleeing from the hospital while in the custody of the Florida Highway Patrol.
Original story, 4:57 p.m.: A large police presence has been reported at HCA Ocala Hospital on Southwest 1st Avenue as authorities search for an escaped arrestee, according to the Ocala Police Department (OPD).
OPD says that Donald Nash, 26, fled from the hospital while in the custody of the Florida Highway Patrol. He was last seen wearing handcuffs, a blue long-sleeve shirt, and light blue or gray shorts. Authorities said Nash may no longer be wearing his hat and could still be in the area.
Residents are urged to stay vigilant and contact 911 immediately with any information regarding Nash’s location. Police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances of his escape.
