OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Update: Marion County Sheriffs Office says Cali has been found.

Original story: Authorities are conducting an urgent search for 14-year-old Cali Avera, who was reported missing on the morning of Dec. 31, 2024.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says that Cali was last seen around 9:30 a.m. at Cactus Jacks Trail Ride, where she had arrived with her family earlier in the day. According to reports, she left the location on foot and was later spotted near the Quail Run subdivision.

Cali is described as 5′ 4″ tall, about 145 lbs. with brown eyes and blonde hair (currently).

At the time of her disappearance, Cali was wearing a brown shirt with butterfly designs, gray sweatpants, and white Crocs. MCSO says that Cali’s family is deeply concerned for her safety due to a history of self-harm and alarming statements they say she made prior to her disappearance.

Search efforts are underway, and officials are urging anyone with information about Cali’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately.
