BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview and the Belleview Police Department have announced the promotion of Lieutenant Larry Bryan to Assistant Chief of Police.
With more than 30 years of service to the department, Assistant Chief Bryan’s promotion highlights his longstanding dedication to law enforcement, leadership, and community engagement.
He was formally recognized during the June 3, 2025, Belleview City Commission meeting, where city officials, police colleagues, staff, and family members gathered in celebration.
In his new role, Bryan will work closely with Chief Terry Holland to oversee daily department operations, lead officer training and development, and help guide strategic public safety initiatives.
“Larry Bryan has been the foundation of this department for decades,” said Chief Holland. “His loyalty, integrity, and work ethic are unmatched. Larry has earned the trust of every officer and every citizen he’s served. His promotion to Assistant Chief is a testament to a lifetime of service and an example of what leadership should look like in law enforcement.”
Sergeant Mike Miley also praised Bryan, saying, “Assistant Chief Bryan sets the standard for professionalism and dedication. He has mentored countless officers and has always led by example.”
Mayor Christine Dobkowski called Bryan “the spirit of public service,” adding that his steady leadership and compassion have had a lasting impact on the city.
Bryan’s career includes a range of leadership and patrol roles, all underscoring his commitment to public safety and the well-being of Belleview residents.
