OCALA, FL (352today.com) – CADRE, the Coalition for Awareness, Development, Resilience and Education will be hosting “A Call to Action,” a veterans’ peer-led Post Traumatic Stress Disorder roundtable workshop and a no-cost dinner, on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6: 30 p.m. at the Elliott Center at 3231 SW 34th Ave. in Ocala.

CADRE is an organization, under the auspices of Veterans Helping Veterans USA, dedicated to preventing veteran suicide through connection, support, and action.

The roundtable will provide veterans with the opportunity to share their personal VA experiences, said Todd Belknap, Veterans Helping Veterans USA executive director. The platform will give veterans a chance to share their thoughts on how to repair the breach and to have those lapses effectively addressed by policymakers. The no-cost dinner provided by Veterans Helping Veterans USA will be served to attendees, and their partners are encouraged to attend.

Those suggestions will be presented anonymously and be hand-delivered to the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs for review and action. There will be follow-up with the office once they are in receipt of the suggestions. Those veterans who attend A Call for Action will receive a list of no cost resources. A follow-up meeting has been planned and will be announced at the Nov. 18. meeting,

Those interested in attending should respond by Nov. 13, 2025 to 352-342-1775 or ExecutiveDirector@vhvusa.org.
