OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A bit of editorializing: I was born and have lived most of my life in Florida.

Which means I hate it when the temperature drops below, say, “awesome jacket” levels.

I like to wear my cool long-sleeved stuff for a few weeks, and then basically complain until I can put on shorts and flip-flops again.

All of which is to say that, while spring in the 352 is pretty short compared to other regions of the United States, for me, it’s a time to be welcomed and savored, a season of rebirth and rejoining the world, whether that means smiling goofily at other folks as we drift down the Rainbow River or making new friends at an outdoor art show in Tuscawilla Park.

There’s a lot to do in North Central Florida during the next couple of months–we have our various municipalities and engaged community members to thank for that–and we’ve done our best to pull together the best, newest and/or most exciting things to do, taste, try and experience in the 352 between now and late May/early June.

It’s all right here.

We hope you have as much fun perusing these Spring Guide articles about what makes our home so special (especially this time of year), and discovering great stuff to do, as we did putting it together.
