OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ice cream lovers will have a new destination in downtown Ocala later this month as Haagen-Dazs celebrates the grand opening of its first Marion County location with free treats, giveaways and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
(Well, technically they’ve reportedly had it for a bit, albeit in soft-opening mode.)
The new shop, located at 40 S. Magnolia Ave., will officially open Thursday, July 30, 2026. The celebration begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m., followed by family-friendly festivities throughout the day. To mark the occasion, the first 500 guests will receive a free cup or cone. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enter a giveaway for free Haagen-Dazs ice cream for a year.
The Ocala location is locally owned and operated by Jamie and Alexandra Zimbleman, who said they chose downtown Ocala because of the area’s continued growth and vibrant atmosphere.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Haagen-Dazs to Ocala,” Jamie Zimbleman said. “Downtown has become one of Florida’s most exciting destinations, and we’re proud to be part of its continued growth. We look forward to creating a place where families, visitors and the community can gather and enjoy one of the world’s finest ice cream brands.”
The Ocala shop will offer the brand’s signature hand-scooped ice cream, cones, sundaes, milkshakes, smoothies, coffee beverages and its popular Dazzler Sundaes. In addition to in-store service, customers will be able to order pickup and delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Community members, downtown businesses and visitors are invited to attend the grand opening.
