OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A flag football team from Marion County won the 3rd Annual NFL FLAG Championships in Westfield, IN over the weekend.
The Marion County Juice’s 14U (under-14) boys’ division traveled to Indiana and competed as the Ocala Buccaneers–each team represents one of the 32 NFL franchises, as NFL FLAG is a nationwide athletic initiative spearheaded by the National Football League–from Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26, 2026, eventually taking home the trophy after a final game against New York City’s team, which represented the Baltimore Ravens in the tournament.
More than 350 boys’ and girls’ flag football teams from leagues sponsored by NFL FLAG across the country convened at Westfield’s Droplight Grand Park Sports Campus for the culmination of the 2025-2026 season. The field even included teams from abroad.
After besting the “Ravens” 33-21, the “Bucs” were presented their trophy by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones.
Marion County NFL FLAG was founded in 2015 to bring non-contact football to the youth of the region.
