MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – New business openings in North Central Florida seem to have slowed just a bit as we headed into the dog days of summer. Who knows if August will continue the trend or not, but in any case, we still did have multiple openings of note in the 352.

Citrus Inflatables

Flyers Cafe

This isn’t an opening so much as a reopening. The beloved Philly-themed Citra restaurant known for its subs and wings (among other things) took a little time to move a little ways down the street and unlocked the doors to its new location on July 21. 17052 N. The Forge

The long-anticipated food hall and entertainment space launched into soft-opening mode last month with six brands, from the large bar-style tapas restaurant The Hammock to Just Desserts. Next up, the brewery! 343 NE First Ave., Ocala. 352-230-9600

Häagen-Dazs

After a particularly long and not so particularly quiet soft-opening phase, the iconic ice cream brand’s first Ocala store held its ribbon-cutting at the prime downtown location on July 30. 40 S. Magnolia Ave., Ocala. 352-207-8242

Lovisa

This fashion jewelry retailer and, uh, place to get one’s ears pierced (piercery?) held the ribbon-cutting for its location inside the Paddock Mall on July 9. The storefront is located between Hollister and Windsor retailers. Paddock Mall, Ocala.

Tractor Supply Co.

How many Tractor Supply Co. stores are there in the area? A bunch, but we believe there were only two in Ocala proper–the Ocala North and Ocala South locations–before this new home of horse feed, chicks (the feathered kind), gardening tools, injection-molded plastic kayaks and many, many more outdoor and yard items opened its doors in Silver Springs Shores July Fourth weekend. 115 Bahia Ave. Place, Silver Springs Shores. 352-225-9323
