THE VILLAGES, FL (352today.com) – Thousands of residents decorated their golf carts and braved the sweltering Florida heat to gather in The Villages on Sunday, June 14, 2026, and celebrate U.S. President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, which falls on our nation’s Flag Day holiday.
At the Lake Sumter Landing rally point, a vast sea of red, white and blue golf carts filled a parking lot behind the businesses lining the main drag, before filing out onto Old Camp Road in an orderly and seemingly endless line. Boom boxes blared Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” Pickups trailing American flags changed lanes to accommodate the procession, honking as they passed, and some waiting in multiple lines to enter the flow of carts wandered about, meeting new friends and saying hello to familiar neighbors.
