TRENTON, FL (352today.com) – The Levy County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 43-year-old Trenton man on Wednesday and charged him with multiple offenses related to possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CASM).

According to a LCSO announcement, its Criminal Investigation Division began the investigation that led to Evan Douglas McQuiston’s arrest back in July when they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual’s Google Drive and Google Photos accounts contained some 78 images and videos that were flagged as possible CASM.

During the investigation, a search warrant for the relevant repositories and other internet identifiers led investigators to believe that the material belonged to McQuiston.

McQuiston was taken into custody on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, during an operation involving LCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division, Drug Task Force and Patrol Division. McQuiston subsequently allegedly made several self-incriminating statements during an interview after being Mirandized.

“Following the interview, Detective Blake Landfair charged Evan Douglas McQuiston with 20 counts of F.S. 827.071(5) Possession of Child Pornography and 1 count of F.S. 934.215 Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device,” the announcement read, in part. “Evan Douglas McQuiston was also charged 1 count of F.S. 784.07(2b) Battery on Law Enforcement and 1 count of F.S. 843.01 Resisting Officer with Violence. Evan Douglas McQuiston is being held in the levy County Detention Center on a $550,000 bond. Additional criminal charges are forthcoming.”
