OCALA, FL (352today.com) – We’ve been reporting quite a bit about the overnight closures of busy I-75 interchanges in the Ocala area lately, particularly regarding SR 40 and U.S. HWY 27.

Well, the work continues. The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that the northbound on-ramp for I-75 at 40 will be closed overnight Monday, May 11, 2026, from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning for milling and resurfacing.

Just down the freeway and a day later, the northbound off-ramp from I-75 to U.S. HWY 27 will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Detour information for S.R. 40 on ramp to I-75:

  • Motorists traveling on S.R. 40 who wish to access I-75 should proceed east on S.R. 40, turn north on Northwest 27th Avenue, then turn left on U.S. 27 and proceed west to the U.S. 27 on ramp at I-75.

Detour information for U.S. 27 off ramp from I-75:

  • Motorists traveling northbound on I-75 who wish to access U.S. 27 will be directed to instead exit at S.R. 40 (Exit 352), proceed east on S.R. 40, then turn left on Northwest 27th Avenue to U.S. 27.
