MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Stormwater Program, which focuses on keeping the county’s water resources clean and vital, announced its 23rd Annual Photo Contest back in mid-April, and now the June 30, 2026, deadline for submissions is fast approaching.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to submit images of local lakes, ponds, springs and waterways that evoke the allure and life they bring to our region, for a chance to be featured in the program’s 2027 calendar.
“This year’s theme is ‘Our Water. Their Home.’, highlighting the beauty and diversity of local waterbodies and the life they support,” read a statement. “Show us how water shapes habitats across Marion County–through vibrant colors, wildlife, and unique perspectives.”
Submitted photos musts meet these requirements
- Images must feature a waterbody located in Marion County
- Images must reflect the theme
- Images, if submitted digitally, must be of a resolution of at least 300 dpi
- Submissions must include photographer’s name, contact information (email or phone), a brief description and location where the photo was taken
